Mongolia 2020 Public Holidays Announced

The Mongolian government has released the list of 2020 public holidays to be observed in Mongolia during the calendar year 2020.

The aforementioned list of 2020 Mongolian public holidays includes the Tsagaan Sar and the Chinggis Khaan (2012-11-08 and 2012-10-28) annual public holidays of Mongolia are based on the Tögs Buyant Mongolian lunar calendar, as well as the recently-voted (2019-12-22 and 2019-10-23), Buddha Day public holiday of Mongolia, celebrating the birth, enlightenment and death of Gautama Buddha, beginning on June 5, 2020, contrary to the earlier reports that it would be observed on the simplistic "Day of the Full Moon in the month of May" rule mentioned in these same media reports.
