Mozambique's Minister of Labour, Margarida Talapa, has announced a one-off non-working public sector holiday in Mozambique, on April 10, 2020, on account of Good Friday.

As per the aforementioned announcement, the one-off non-working public sector holidays in Mozambique, on April 10, 2020, on account of Good Friday, is limited to Christians ("O governo moçambicano concede tolerância de ponto para todo o dia de amanhã, a todos trabalhadores e funcionários públicos que professam a religião cristã, por ocasião da Sexta-Feira Santa").

The declaration of one-off non-working public holidays is a relatively common feature of Mozambique's official public holidays calendar (2019-12-30, 2019-10-01, 2019-09-03, 2019-08-09, 2019-08-07, 2018-10-09, 2018-06-14, 2016-12-19, 2016-02-26, 2015-12-30, 2015-01-14, 2013-12-21, 2013-08-01, 2012-12-21, 2011-12-05, 2011-10-16, 2010-12-29, 2010-12-23, ...), in particular as Mozambique's Labour Code gives the Minister of Labour the authority to declare one-off public holidays in Mozambique.
