Oman's Minister of Manpower has announced that the non-working public holiday in Oman on the occasion of the upcoming annual Hijri New Year 1442 (Islamic New Year in the calendar year 2020), would be an official non-working public holiday "for employees of private and public sector companies, institutions and establishments under the provisions of the Labour Law".
As was the case in the recent past (2019-08-25 and 2019-08-19) UAE announcement that both public and private sector employees of the UAE would get a non-working public holiday on Muharram 1, Hijri 1442, the date of the aforementioned announced Omani non-working Islamic new year public holiday remains to be announced.
