Pakistan Mid-Year Accounts Bank Holiday July 1st

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has declared Wednesday, July 1st, 2020, as a bank holiday throughout Pakistan on account of the upcoming Mid-Year Accounts annual bank holiday in Pakistan for the calendar year 2020.

The date of Wednesday, July 1st, 2020, as a bank holiday throughout Pakistan, is in line with the list of 2020 public holidays in Pakistan, as announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2020" published by the Government of Pakistan late last year (2019-12-06).

As per custom, under similar circumstances (2020-04-24, 2020-03-15, 2019-09-05, 2019-08-06, 2018-08-08, 2017-08-25, ...), the aforementioned announcement states that all banks/DFIs/MFBs will remain closed for public dealing on that date.
