The Vice Minister of Labor and Labor Development of Panama, Roger Tejada, has announced that, despite the fact that, due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, the upcoming holidays of Panama on November 3, 5, 10 and 28, and those in December, will remain non-working public holidays in Panama ("los días 3, 5, 10 y 28 de noviembre; y los otros días nacionales que vienen, aunque no se puedan celebrar por las restricciones de la pandemia del covid-19, se mantendrán como nacionales").
The list of bank holidays and public holidays in Panama for the calendar year 2020 was released by the Banco Nacional de Panamá ("Entidad regulada y supervisada por la Superintendencia de Bancos de Panamá"), earlier this year (2020-01-03), with the January 9 (2013-10-02) and the November 28 (2014-11-30) public holidays no longer being covered by the "Ley 70 del 28 de diciembre de 2007", and banks getting additional bank holidays whenever one of the aforementioned public holidays falls on a Sunday (2019-01-07, 2018-01-11, 2017-02-03, 2016-01-04, 2015-01-09, 2014-01-18, 2012-09-15, 2011-12-06 and 2010-03-25).
