The Peruvian Defense Minister, Jorge Chávez Cresta, has announced that the recent cancellation of the October 8 and 9, 2020, public holidays, would be the last one this year ("Será la última modificación que se hará en el año en cuanto a los feriados. These 4 canceled public holidays had been listed in the list of 2020 public holidays in Peru, as contained in the Decreto Supremo Nº 197-2019-PCM, gazetted by the Peruvian government, late last year (2019-12-21).
