Peru Promises No Further 2020 Public Holidays Changes

The Peruvian Defense Minister, Jorge Chávez Cresta, has announced that the recent cancellation of the October 8 and 9, 2020, public holidays, would be the last one this year ("Será la última modificación que se hará en el año en cuanto a los feriados. En adelante, los feriados serán respetados como tal.").
Recall that, last summer (2020-07-11 and 2020-07-03), Peruvian president, Martín Vizcarra, had canceled the public holidays scheduled for July 27 and 29, 2020, and then, late last month (2020-10-01 and 2020-09-30), canceled the October 8 and 9, 2020, public holidays.
These 4 canceled public holidays had been listed in the list of 2020 public holidays in Peru, as contained in the Decreto Supremo Nº 197-2019-PCM, gazetted by the Peruvian government, late last year (2019-12-21).
