The Government of India's state of Punjab has announced an additional gazetted public holiday on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, on the occasion of birthday of Sri Guru Nabha Das, instead of the restricted holidays that had previously been announced.

As per a spokesperson for the Punjab Government, and according to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel: "the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nabha Das Ji was announced on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, instead of reserved leave".

The aforementioned notification thus amends the previously-released annual list of "the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2020", as contained in the notification issued by the Government of Punjab, covering Government Holidays and Restricted Holidays in India's state of Punjab for the calendar year 2020, late last year (2019-12-23).
