Malaysia's Cabinet's and the Constitution and Government Relations Department of the Prime Minister's Office have jointly issued a revised version of the the annual official Jadual Hari Kelepasan Am Negeri 2021 (State Public Holiday Schedule 2021), containing a revised list of state-specific regional non-working public holidays for the upcoming calendar year 2021 in Malaysia's State of Sarawak.
The aforementioned Jadual Hari Kelepasan Am Negeri 2021 (Federal Public Holidays Schedule 2021), released last summer (2020-06-25), contained the Deepavali public holiday in the list of Sarawak public holidays, contrary to recent years, when Deepavali was not listed as a public holiday in the Malaysian State of Sarawak (2019-07-08, 2018-09-01, and 2017-08-01).
Today's revised version of the Jadual Hari Kelepasan Am Negeri 2021 (State Public Holiday Schedule 2021) no longer includes Deepavali as a Sarawak public holiday for the calendar year 2021.
