The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Majilis Ugama Islam Singapura) has released its annual official Islamic Calendar to be used in Singapore for the calendar year 2021, in particular for the determination of the dates of Singapore's 2 annual non-working public holidays based on the Hijra calendar.

The aforementioned annual announcement of the annual official Islamic Calendar to be used in Singapore (2019-08-17, 2018-09-16, 2017-04-01, 2016-07-23, 2015-03-22, 2014-08-17, 2013-07-29 and 2012-07-24), again (2018-09-16 and 2018-04-05), comes much later than the announcement by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) of the list of the official dates for Singapore's 2021 public holidays (2020-06-24), though that list of 2021 public holidays in Singapore, also came much later than usual.

It is worthy to note that the date of the 2021 Hari Raya Haji (Feast of Sacrifice) is different in today's Majilis Ugama Islam Singapura listing as compared to last summer's list of 2021 public holidays (2020-06-24).

Although the initial list of 2021 public holidays announced last summer (2020-06-24) does contain the mention "Subject to change", the dates of the 2 annual Muslim public holidays in Singapore have never, in recent history, been modified after the initial MOM announcement of the annual non-working public holidays in Singapore, contrary to the Deepavali Singapore non-working public holiday, which in past years was often incorrectly announced (2014-04-07, 2013-04-09, 2009-02-10, 2008-03-27, 2003-04-11, and 2002-03-04).
