The Government of Uganda had declared Sunday, May 24, 2020, as the date of the upcoming Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) annual non-working public holiday in Uganda.

Last year (2019-06-01), as in other years (2008-12-06), the government of Uganda did not follow the Saudi Umm al-Qura calendar, as is often the case (2018-08-17, 2017-08-28, 2016-09-06, 2015-07-16, 2014-10-02, 2013-10-04, 2012-10-18 and 2009-11-24).

It is possible that the President of Uganda could declare Monday, May 25, 2020, as a day in lieu public holiday in Uganda, but that would not happen automatically, as the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Bill, 2020", which would create a day in lieu public holiday on the Monday following an annual public holiday of Uganda falling on a weekend day, was recently rejected by Uganda's Parliament (2019-04-08 and 2020-02-22).
