Argentina Extends Year-End 2021 Bank Holidays

Argentina's Central Bank (BCRA) has announced that Friday, December 24, and Friday, December 31, 2021, would be full day bank holidays in Argentina ("El Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA) invita a las entidades financieras y cambiarias de todo el país a otorgar asueto a su personal el 24 y 31 de diciembre") .

Note that banks and financial markets in Argentina already have the afternoon off on both December 24 and 31, on an annual basis, due to the December 24 and December 31 annual year-end bank holidays of Argentina.

These half-day bank holidays have on occasion been extended to the full day (2020-12-17, 2010-12-23 and 2007-12-05).
