Argentina's Senate has passed a bill promoted by the Frente de Todos which would declare June 30 as a new non-working public holiday to mark National Tourism Day, in line with the June 30, 2010, Decree 919/2010, which created the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, during the presidency of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
The aforementioned National Tourism Day bill must now pass in Argentina's Lower House, something that is not likely.
The list of 2022 public holidays in Argentina was announced last month in the Decreto 789, signed by Argentina's President, Alberto Fernández, and declares 3 bridge public holidays in 2022, in addition to the list of annual public holidays of Argentina (2021-11-13).
