Armenia Considering September 20 Public Holiday

The Armenian Government has announced that, at tomorrow's cabinet meeting, it would consider declaring Monday, September 20, 2021, as a one-off public holiday in Armenia, to link the Tuesday, September 21, 2021, annual Independence Day public holiday of Armenia, with the preceding weekend.

As is usual (2020-02-21, 2018-10-10, 2018-10-05, 2018-04-12, 2018-04-12, 2018-03-05, 2018-01-25, 2017-08-16, 2017-04-20, 2017-04-04, 2016-09-03, 2016-03-17, 2016-02-19, 2015-09-10, 2015-07-11, 2015-04-13, 2014-12-02, 2014-01-12, 2013-11-22, 2013-05-15, 2013-05-02, 2012-06-23, 2012-04-18, 2012-02-22, 2011-02-24 and 2010-09-10), but not always(2018-11-29), in compensation for the declaration of a one-off public holiday in Armenia on Monday, September 20, 2021, Independence Day public holiday of Armenia, with the preceding weekend, Saturday, September 25, 2021, would be a regular working day in Armenia.

As usual, the September 20 working day would be transferred to the following Saturday, as opposed to what happened last time (2020-02-21).
