The Government of India's state of Assam, via the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup , has declared Monday, March 29, 2021, as a local holiday on account of Holi festival, as per the Government Order KPE 18/2003/188.
The aforementioned government order reads "In exercise of delegation of power conferred by the Government notification no. GAG(A) 81/2016/637 dated 18/12/2020 and as per approval of General Administration Department vide letter no. GAG(A) 81/2016/653 dt 28/03/2021, Local Holiday is hereby declared on 29th March 2021 (Monday) within the jurisdiction of Kamrup Metropolitan District on account of Dol Jatra / Holi festival.".
The Monday, March 29, 2021, local holiday for Holi thus further amends (2021-03-09 and 2021-01-08) the list of Assam 2021 public holidays listed late last year, in the Government Notification No.GAG(A).81/2016/637 (2020-12-18).
