Bangladesh's national moon sighting committee, at a meeting chaired by the State Minister for Religious Affairs, Faridul Haque Khan, has announced that the Zilhajj moon had been sighted in Bangladesh, last night, and therefore that "Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on July 21".

The aforementioned announcement is in line with the official list of 2021 non-working public holidays in Bangladesh, as contained in the DFIM Circular Letter of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, released last autumn (2020-11-05 and 2020-11-02).

As usual, the day before and the day after Bangladesh's Eid-ul-Azha public holiday, are public holidays for Bangladesh's public sector and banking sector (2020-11-15).
