Cameroon's President, Paul Biya, has issued the decree 0738 declaring Monday, July 19, 2021, the eve of the upcoming Feast of Sacrifice public holiday, as a one-off public holiday in the Cameroon ("La journée du lundi 19 juillet 2021, veille de la fête du Sacrifice, est déclarée fériée et chômée au Cameroun").

The aforementioned announcement that Monday, July 19, 2021, would be a public holiday, follows the announcement by Cameroon's Commission Nationale du Croissant Lunaire that Tuesday, July 20, 2021, would be the date of the upcoming Feast of Sacrifice in Cameroon.

As was done on previous occasions (2021-05-12, 2020-05-23 and 2019-08-09), the President of Cameroon has issued a one-off public holiday, thus amending the list of 2021 public holidays in the Cameroon as announced at the beginning of this year (2021-01-18), as is his prerogative under the terms of the "loi du 7 décembre 1973, fixant le régime des fêtes légales au Cameroun, modifiée et complétée par la loi du 8 juillet 1976".
