The Egyptian cabinet has announced that the previously-declared 6-day period of public holidays for upcoming Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) and Revolution Anniversary annual public holidays would be extended to 8 days ("the national holidays of Eid Al-Adha and the 23rd of July Revolution will span eight days rather than six days to start on July 17 to 24").

Earlier this week (2021-07-13), Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, had issued a decree declaring a 6-day period of public holidays marking the upcoming Eid al-Adha and Revolution Anniversary annual public holidays, to apply to all sectors of the economy ("The fully paid holiday will be given to all employees of the public and private sectors").

The next day (2021-07-14), the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced bank holidays for the upcoming Eid Al-Adha public holidays, from Monday to Thursday, July 19-22, 2021, in conjunction with the July 23 Revolution Day public holiday, and the usual Saturday closure of banks. However, contrary to what was done in the past (2020-10-05), no day in lieu bank holiday was declared on the following Sunday, July 25, 2021.
