Himachal Pradesh Local Polls Public Holiday January 10

The government of the Indian State of Himachal Pradesh has declared a regional non-working public holiday on Sunday, January 10, 2021, on account of the upcoming general election of Nagar Panchayats, in the concerned areas.

The aforementioned announcement that the government of the Indian State of Himachal Pradesh had declared Sunday, January 10, 2021, on account of the upcoming Nagar Panchayats elections, thus amends the notification of the annual list of the days which were to be non-working public holidays in India's state of Himachal Pradesh for the calendar year 2021, as contained in the Government Order No. GAD- A(F)12-1/2020, issued late last year (2020-11-13).

As per the Himachal Pradesh government spokesperson, the January 10 public holiday will apply to "all government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions and industrial establishments in Himachal and shops".
