The government of the Indian State of Himachal Pradesh has declared Friday, August 20, 2021, as a gazetted public holiday on account of Muharram, and in the stead of the previously-announced date of Thursday, August 19, 2021.
Referring to the previously-announced date of Thursday, August 19, 2021, a spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh state government stated that "this holiday would not be the holiday within the meaning of Section-25 of Negotiable Instrument Act-1881".
