Kuwait Prophet's Birthday Public Holiday Moved To October 21st

The Kuwaiti Council of Ministers has decided that the date of the upcoming 2021 Kuwaiti public holiday for the Prophet's Birthday would be Thursday, October 21, 2021, instead of the expected date of Monday, October 18, 2021.

In past years (2020-10-19, 2016-11-29, 2015-12-08, 2014-01-10, 2012-01-19, 2011-02-15 and 2011-01-22), the public holiday for the birthday of Prophet Mohammad was often moved to another date due to a conflicting weekend, or a one-day with the nearest weekend, although this was not the case some years (2017-11-13 and 2013-01-22).

Note that, as weekends in Kuwait were changed from Thursday/Friday to Friday/Saturday, more than a decade ago (2007-08-04 and 2007-06-03), the aforementioned 2021 Prophet's Birthday public holiday in Kuwait will run for 3 consecutive days.
