The Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan has confirmed the terms of the "On the transfer of the day off" decree of May 4, 2021, meaning that Kyrgyzstan will enjoy a 4-day period of public holidays, from August 28-31, 2021, inclusively.

The aforementioned Monday, August 30, 2021, public holiday was not included in last year's announcement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan (В этом году новогодние праздники решено отметить без переноса выходных и праздничных дней.), officializing the list of non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2021 (2020-12-04).

Normally, the month of May 2021 would have seen 2 day in lieu public holidays in Kyrgyzstan, one on Monday, May 3, and one on Monday, May 10, 2021.

But the expected May 3 day in lieu public holiday was moved to January 8, instead, as part of last year's announcement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan (В этом году новогодние праздники решено отметить без переноса выходных и праздничных дней.), of the non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2021 (2021-04-01 and 2020-12-04).

Then, last May (2021-05-05), the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan postponed the Monday, May 10, 2021, day in lieu public holiday to Monday, August 30, 2021, "in order to rationally use weekends and non-working holidays".
