Malaysia's Central Bank has announced that banks will remain open on December 3, 2021, despite the December 3 Malaysia Cup public holiday that was declared for the 3 Federal Territories of Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan).

The announcement of Malaysia's Central Bank follows yesterday's announcement by Federal Territories Minister, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, that Friday, December 3, 2021, had been declared a one-off public holiday in all 3 Federal Territories of Malaysia to mark the Malaysia Cup victory of KL City against Johor Darul Ta'zim (2021-12-01).

Amusingly, last week, Johor's Menteri Besar, Hasni Mohammad, had similarly promised to declare Wednesday, December 1, 2021, as a one-off special public holiday in Malaysia's State of Johor, should the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) football team win the Malaysia Cup on November 30 (2021-11-27).
