Mali's Minister of Religious Affairs has announced that Wednesday, July 21, 2021, would be the date of the upcoming non-working public holiday in Mali for the Eid al-Adha Public Holiday (Feast of Sacrifice).
The announcement of Wednesday, July 21, 2021, as the public holiday date of the upcoming for the Eid al-Adha Public Holiday (Feast of Sacrifice) is, once again (2021-05-11), an amendment to the list of 2021 public holidays in the Mali (2021-01-18).
Interestingly, the date of July 21, 2021, for the Eid al-Adha, is quite late as compared to most African and Middle-East countries, particularly when one recalls that for the past four consecutive years, the Mali declared its End of Ramadan public holiday earlier than any other country, and on dates which were astronomically before the new Moon (2021-05-11, 2020-05-22, 2019-06-04 and 2018-06-14).
