Malta's Government has published its annual official list of Malta national holidays and non-working public holidays in Malta for the calendar year 2022.
Once again, none of the aforementioned list of national holidays and non-working public holidays in Malta for the calendar year 2022 is moved to a Monday.
However, late last year (2020-12-21), Malta's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion, Carmelo Abela, did announce that, beginning in 2021, whenever a public holiday falls on a weekend or another public holiday, Malta workers would be entitled to a compensatory day’s leave (though not systematically on the next Monday).
