The government of India's State of Mizoram has declared Tuesday, February 16, 2021, as a public holiday for civil servants including employees under both central and state public sector undertakings, financial institutions, and educational institutions, "to enable the voters to exercise their franchise in the General Election to the Aizawl Municipal Corporation, 2021".

The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday, February 16, 2021, as an electoral public holiday on account of the general election to the Aizawl Municipal Corporation 2021, thus amends the list of 2021 public holidays, government holidays, and restricted holidays for the calendar year 2021, as contained in the Government Notification No.3855/2020-2021, as released by the Governor of India's State of Mizoram, last autumn (2020-10-22).
