Mozambique's Minister of Labour, Margarida Adamugy Talapa, has announced that Friday, December 24, 2021, would be a full-day non-working public sector holiday in Mozambique ("on the occasion of Christmas and Family Day").
As per the aforementioned announcement, the upcoming one-off non-working public holiday in Mozambique "does not extend to workers whose nature of work does not allow for interruption and where a disruption would negatively affect the public interest".
Last year, Minister Adamugy Talapa had similarly announced that Thursday, December 24, 2020, would be a full-day non-working public sector holiday in Mozambique (2020-12-22).
