The Sint Maarten Labour Department has released the official annual list of non-working public holidays in Sint Maarten for the calendar years 2022, based on the "National Ordinance regulating Work, Working Hours and Overtime” (Arbeidsregeling).

The aforementioned list of Sint Maarten public holiday dates in Sint Maarten for 2022 includes the, July 1st, Emancipation Day non-working public holiday whose declaration was unanimously approved legislation by the Parliament of Sint Maarten, 9 years ago (2012-06-06 and 2012-06-29).

The King's Birthday on April 27 (2013-01-30) public holiday remains on its date, as does the recently added Constitution Day non-working public holiday in Sint Maarten (2015-11-01).

The date of the Carnival Day public holiday, moved last year (2020-12-21), is set to a surprising date in 2022, as compared to recent years (2020-02-02, 2019-01-26, 2019-01-11, 2016-12-22, 2015-11-01, 2014-10-24, 2013-09-27 and 2013-02-08), in particular when one recalls what was done 5 years ago (2016-04-28).
