Thailand's Deputy government spokesperson, Traisuree Taisaranakul, has announced that the Thai Cabinet, at today's meeting, had approved the declaration of 4 additional national public holidays in the upcoming calendar year 2022.

As we remarked, when the list of 2022 Thai public holidays was announced (2021-08-06), the list of 2022 Thai public holidays can be later modified, as was the case this year (2021-07-01 and 2021-03-11), and the year before (2020-09-22, 2020-08-13, 2020-06-30, 2020-06-29, 2020-06-23, 2020-03-16).

This is the second year (2020-12-29) in which the Thai government announces one-off public holidays all at once, ahead of the calendar year, instead of the piecemeal last-minute announcements of previous years' one-off public holidays.
