American Samoa Declares April 15 and 18 Public Holidays

The Governor of American Samoa, Lemanu P. S. Mauga, has issued the General Memorandum 042-22 and 043-22, which respectively declare Friday and Monday, April 15 and 18, 2022, as public sector holidays in American Samoa, on account of the Good Friday and Flag Day public holidays.

The aforementioned General memorandum 042-22 states that "Good Friday, April 15, 2022, will be observed as a holiday in American Samoa. All government offices will be closed and normal activities will be suspended on that day.".

For its part, General memorandum 043-22 reads as follows, "Flag Day, Sunday, April 17, 2022, will be observed as a holiday in American Samoa on Monday, April 18, 2022. All government offices will be closed and normal activities will be suspended on that day.".

The list of 2022 public holidays in American Samoa was issued at the beginning of this year (2022-01-14).
