Bolivia's Minister of Labor, Verónica Navia, has issued the communiqué 014/2022 announcing that Monday, May 2, 2022, would be observed as an official non-working public holiday ("The Labor Day holiday falls on a Sunday, so it will be moved to Monday, May 2, with the suspension of public and private activities").

Paragraph II of the Law No. 274 of September 10, 2012, in accordance with Article 3 of Supreme Decree No. 2750 of May 1, 2016 regulates the declaration of one-off day in lieu non-working public holidays in Bolivia, whenever a fixed-date annual non-working public holiday falls on a Sunday, by excluding some public holidays, such as All Saints' Day from the mechanism, while including others, such as the Labour Day holiday (2016-05-03).

The aforementioned announcement reads: "Es uno de los pocos feriados que podemos trasladar para el día siguiente, así que el feriado se acata el lunes. El domingo pueden nuestros compañeras y compañeros trabajadores celebrar tranquilos".

Monday, May 2, 2022, being observed as an official non-working public holiday, is in line with the list of 2022 public holidays in Bolivia, as released earlier this year (2022-01-09).
