Denmark's Central Bank (Danmarks Nationalbanken) has released its annual list of bank holidays in Denmark, as well as non-working public holidays in Denmark, for the calendar year 2023.

In the aforementioned list of 2023 Danish bank holidays, Saturdays and Sundays are not declared as banking holidays in Denmark, as usual (2021-01-07, 2020-01-04, 2019-01-10, 2018-01-04, 2017-01-04, 2016-01-08, 2015-01-06, 2014-01-08, 2013-01-04, 2012-02-09 and 2011-02-01).

This means that the banks-only holidays of December 24 and December 31 are not included in the list of 2023 bank holidays, as they both occur on a Sunday in 2023.

The Friday after Ascension is a bank holiday in Denmark, although it is not a general non-working public holiday in Denmark (2008-02-25).
