Greece's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, has announced that the Greek government had decided to move the upcoming Labour Day public holiday, from Sunday, May 1st, 2022, to Tuesday, May 2, 2022.
As per Minister Hatzidakis' announcement, "The mandatory holiday of May 1, 2022, due to the fact that it coincides with Sunday, is postponed to Monday, May 2, 2022" (Η υποχρεωτική αργία της 1ης Μαΐου 2022, λόγω του ότι συμπίπτει την Κυριακή, μετατίθεται για τη Δευτέρα 2 Μαΐου 2022).
The aforementioned announcement that this year's annual May 1st Greek non-working public holiday would be moved to Monday, May 2, 2022, thus amends the list of official Greek bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Greece for the calendar year 2022, as announced last summer (2021-09-18).

And, three years before that, the May 1st Greek public holiday had been moved to Tuesday, May 7, 2013 (2013-04-24 and 2013-04-23), due to the occurrence of Orthodox Easter Monday.
