Guyana's Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn, has signed the Gazette Notification 57/2022/405 (Notification made under the Public Holidays Act CAP 19:07) declaring Friday, March 18, 2022, as a public holiday in Guyana, on account of Phagwah.
The announcement that Friday, March 18, 2022, would be the date for the Holi Phagwah annual public holiday of Guyana, does not declare any additional day of public holiday, as was the case 2 years ago (2020-02-01).
The aforementioned Gazette Notification 57/2022/405 is in line with the annual list of Guyanese bank holidays and public holidays in Guyana for the calendar year 2022 as released by the government of Guyana, late last year (2021-11-22).
