Honduras Day Labour Day Public Holiday Remains On May 1st

The Honduran Council of Private Enterprise (Cohep), has announced that the upcoming Día Internacional del Trabajo public holiday, would remain on its set date of May 1st, and not be moved to Monday, May 2nd, as many had expected.
The last time that May 1st was a Sunday, Honduras' Minister of the Interior, Leonel Ayala, had similarly announced that the upcoming annual, Día del Trabajo public holiday would not be moved to Monday, May 2, 2016 (2016-04-29).
As per the terms of the Decreto Ejecutive 50-2003, some annual public holidays of Honduras are moved to the next week, when they fall of a working day ("los días de feriado nacional que cayeren en días laborables"), and not when they fall on a weekend (2003-04-09).
