Following an announcement by the Conseil supérieur des imams, des mosquées et des affaires islamiques en Côte d’Ivoire (Cosim), the government of the Ivory Coast, has announced that Thursday, April 28, 2022, had been declared a nationwide non-working public holiday in the Ivory Coast on account of the upcoming Nuit du destin (Laylat al-Qadr) annual non-working public holiday.

Contrary to what happened in past years (2020-05-18, 2012-08-18), but not all (2019-05-31, 2018-05-29, 2015-07-11), the Government announcement that Thursday, April 28, 2022, had been declared as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday for the upcoming Night of Destiny, did not need to invoke Article 2 of the Décret n°96-205 du 07 mars 1996 (1996-05-09).
