The state personnel and administration and Raj Bhasha department of India's state of Jharkhand has declared Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, 2022, on account of the upcoming Holi Festival ("Earlier, March 18 (Friday) was declared as Holi leave but in view of the extended festival, the government has decided to declare holiday on March 19 (Saturday) too").

The aforementioned declaration of Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, 2022, as public holidays in Jharkhand for the Holi Festival, thus amends the notification of the annual list of the days which were to be non-working public holidays in India's state of Jharkhand for the calendar year 2022, as released by the government of India's state of Jharkhand, late last year (2021-12-10).

Note that March 19, 2022, was also declared an additional public holiday in the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh (2022-03-16) and Assam (2022-03-17).
