The Government of India's state of Karnataka has issued a Government vide Order, which moves the previously-declared date of Tuesday, May 3, 2022, to Monday, May 2nd, 2022, for the Kerala public holiday for the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan).
The aforementioned change in the date of the upcoming End of Ramadan public holiday was justified by the Government of Karnataka due to the Karnataka moon-sighting committee's lack of decision on the matter.
The notification of the Eid-Ul-Fitr public holiday on Monday, May 2, 2022, thus amends the list of Karnataka government holidays as listed in the Government Order Notification NO.DPAR 37 HHL 2021 issued by the Karnataka Government Secretaraiat of and signed by Mohammed Naeem Momin by order of and in the name of the Govemor of Karnataka, last autumn (2021-11-30).
