Kyrgyzstan Maintains April 7 Public Holiday For Now

The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan has announced that, for this year at least, April 7 would remain a non-working public holiday ("According to article 113 of the Labor Code, April 7 - the Day of the People's April Revolution - is a non-working holiday in Kyrgyzstan").

Recall that, for the past few months (2022-02-09 and 2021-12-25), the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has been discussing the cancellation of 3 annual public holidays; Defender of the Fatherland Day on February 23 (День защитника отечества), Day of the April Revolution on April 7 (День апрельской революции), and Days of History and Memory of Ancestors on November 7 and 8 (Дни истории и памяти предков).

April 7 has been an annual public holiday in Kyrgyzstan, since 2017 (2016-04-07, 2016-04-06, 2016-04-05, 2016-04-04, 2011-04-04, 2011-03-03), "in honor of the people's revolution".
