The spokesperson at Nepal's Ministry of Home Affairs, Phanindra Mani Pokhrel, has announced that, at Thursday's Cabinet meeting, the government of Nepal had decided to declare a public holiday throughout Nepal on Sunday, April 10, 2022, on the occasion of Ram Nawami, Chaitra Shukla Nawami.
Today's declaration of Sunday, April 10, 2022, as a public holiday throughout Nepal, amends the gazetted list of official non-working public holidays in Nepal for the Nepalese year 2079 (April 2022-April 2023), as gazetted last month (2022-03-10).
Recall that Sundayt is a working day in Nepal, which observes a one-day weekend on Saturdays (2001-01-13).
