Nigerian Eid-Al-Fitr and Labour Day Public Holidays May 2-3

The Nigerian Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has announced that the Federal Government of Nigeria had declared Monday and Tuesday, May 2-3, 2022, as non-working public holidays throughout Nigeria, on account of the upcoming Eid-Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) and International Labour Day public holidays of Nigeria.
As per the statement issued by Shuaib Belgore, the permanent secretary to the ministry of the interior, workers across the country are to be commended for their "hard work, diligence and sacrifice", while Muslims are to be congratulated "for successfully completing the month of Ramadan".
