The Government of Australia's Northern Territory has declared Easter Sunday 2022 "as an extra public holiday", thus amending the previously-announced list of 2021-2022-2023 public holidays in Australia's Northern Territory.

The initial list of 2021-2022-2023 Northern Territory public holidays was gazetted by the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet of the Government of Australia's Northern Territory, late in 2020 (2020-11-23).

With the aforementioned announcement, the Northern Territory has joined 5 other Australian States which observe Easter Sunday as a public holiday; the ACT (2015-11-17, 2015-10-31 and 2015-08-22), New South Wales (2010-11-13 and 2010-10-13), Queensland (2016-12-02 and 2016-08-31), Victoria (2015-08-17, 2015-07-08 and 2014-12-01), and Western Australia (2022-02-17, 2022-01-10, 2021-12-17 and 2019-06-25), albeit only for 2022.
