Saudi Arabia's Tadawul has announced that Tuesday, February 22, 2022, would be an official banking and financial holiday on account of the founding day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Late last month, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), Ahmad Suliman Al-Rajhi, re-confirmed that the new annual Founding Day of Saudi Arabia public holiday, on February 22, would be an official holiday for all in public and private sectors (2022-01-29 and 2022-01-27).
Note that in the case of the only other Saudi public holiday based on the Gregorian calendar, the National Day public holiday, is often extended with a day in lieu public holiday, when September 23 falls on a Friday or Saturday, or with a bridge public holiday, when September 23 is a Monday or Wednesday (2021-09-13, 2020-09-08, 2019-09-05 and 2018-09-20). But these extensions are usually limited to the public sector.
