Sénégal's president, Macky Sall, has announced that, following the victory of the Lions of Terranga national football team against Egypt in the African Cup of Nations, he had decided to declare tomorrow, Monday, February 7, 2022, as a one-off public holiday in Sénégal.
Following the immediate tweet by President Macky Sall ("Champions d'Afrique. Quel match !
Recall that in 2002, following the victory of the Senegalese national team against France in the 2002 Football World Cup, Sénégal's then President, Abdoulaye Wade, had declared the remainder of the day as a public holiday (2002-05-31).
