Ukraine Extends Public Holidays Cancellation For 90 Days

Source: Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Kiev)
Posted: Wednesday, May 18, 2022

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree to extend the current martial law and cancellation of public holidays for another 90 days, starting May 25, 2022, and until August 23, 2022.

Recall that, last March, the Law № 2136-IX was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's Parliament), following the 2022 Russian invasion of the Ukraine (2022-03-15). That law essentially cancels public holidays in the Ukraine for the duration of martial law, thus amending the previously-released list of 2022 public holidays in the Ukraine (2021-08-26, 2021-08-23 and 2021-07-16), as was repeatedly confirmed since then (2022-04-21, 2022-04-15 and 2022-04-04).
