Uzbekistan Ramadan Hayit Public Holidays May 2-4

The Government of Uzbekistan has announced that, as per a decision by the Ulema Council of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the upcoming Ramadan Hayit (End of Ramadan) public holiday would be observed on Monday, May 2, 2022, in Uzbekistan.

The aforementioned announcement goes on to announce an accompanying Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 30, 2022 No. UP-131, which amends the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 20, 2021 No. UP-35 "On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the postponement of days off days in 2022" (2021-12-13).

Today's Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-131 ("Изменения, вносимые в Указ Президента Республики Узбекистан от 20 декабря 2021 года № УП-35 «Об установлении дополнительных нерабочих дней в период празднования официальных дат и переносе выходных дней в 2022 году»") declares Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3-4, 2022, as additional public holidays in Uzbekistan.
