The Embedded Tokens Week Start minicalendar modifiers specifies that the date of DayValue 1 of any ordinary token inside a minicalendar is equal to the beginning of the week containing the 1st of the month.

By default, ordinary token inside a minicalendar are evaluated as if their DayValue 1 corresponded to the 1st day of the month of the minicalendar.

The Embedded Tokens Week Start modifier is:

The Embedded Tokens Week Start modifier is often used in combination with GenTokens tokens, to generate multi-month grids where there is no break between the dates of the intermediate months, as in the backtrack every page example below.

If you use this modifier, don't forget to use a DayValue of 8 for all the tokens that occur after the minicalendar marker, otherwise the tokens will refer to the previous month, unless that is the desired effect, as is the case in the above example, where the [GenTokens2] will often start before the 1st of the month.
