Verifying a Script
Whenever you modify a ScriptLine property, Q++Studio applies a thorough series of checks to the Script as a whole, each ScriptLine and all the ScriptLine properties. It then issues run-time messages in the Messages Window. This is done automatically, in the background. If you wish to call script verification directly, which will display a summary of the Script verification, use the RUN|verify menu item, or press F7.
Originally, Script verification was supposed to be performed only when the user requested it (or before running a Script), because it was feared that the background checking would slow Q++Studio down too much. As it turned out this was not the case, so Script verification was made automatic.
The option remains, however, to change this if a new verification or property makes the background verification too slow. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any suggestions as to potentially more complex verifications, which could be reserved for the voluntary call to script verification (using F7).
