[LAYER] Layer Moving Tokens (QuarkXPress 7 and above)

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Layer Moving Tokens are used to move an object (or group of objects) to another layer.

The token consists of "LAYER:" followed by the name of the layer on which you want to move the current object.

For example:

 [LAYER:MyTestLayer]

If the layer does not exist then it will be created.

If you use Layer Moving Tokens, then you should always un-check the remove opf layers generation option, otherwise you will get a message that your current generation options are incompatible with Layer Moving Tokens. Additionally, if you plan on using a layer which already exists in a GridTemplate, then you should also un-check the remove gridtemplate layers generation option.
