The setting that controls the overall box resulting actions of a Macro is Box Action.

Leave Alone

The Leave Alone default setting does nothing to the textbox that contains the current Macro token.

Delete

The Delete setting deletes the current textbox.

Group delete

Group delete will also delete all objects (not only text boxes) which are grouped to the current textbox.

Delete Layer

QuarkXPress 2016

Deletes all the objects that are located in the same layer and the same page as the textbox containing the source Macro Token (this does not delete the layer, just the objects located on it).

Delete Page

QuarkXPress 2016

Deletes the page of the textbox containing the source Macro Token (this deletes the actual document page, not only the objects on it).

For testing testing/debugging purposes, you can use the Keep Pages diary generation option to delete all objects on the page, and leave a marker that the page is to be deleted, instead of deleting the actual page.

Modify Box

This option is used to modify the box attributes of textboxes, such as background color and shade, as well as frame color, thickness and style.

Modify Text

QuarkXPress 2016

This option is used to modify the text attributes of textboxes, such as the number of columns, the gutter width, the vertical alignment, the first baseline alignment, and the text inset.

Change to Picture Box

Using the Change to PictureBox option replaces the current textbox (the one where the macro token was located) by a picture box and inserts into it the graphics file whose full path name is determined by the value of sRESULT.

It is also possible to specify:

that the inserted picture should be transparent (for black & white and vector images) when using Quark 2015 or above,

the X/Y position offset and/or the X/Y scale change the image inserted in the picture box, when using Quark 2016 or above,

the PDF box to use as the bounding box of the imported PDF page, when using Quark 2016 or above.
