The special characters token used to display any ASCII character is &#  followed by the number representing this character's ASCII code (a full list of ASCII codes can be found in the appendices).

Although you can cut and paste many of the above characters from QuarkXPress or Word into any of the Q++Studio dialogs, these characters often appears as a square or thick vertical line which, when many such characters are used, may lead to confusion. Using this token ensures that the characters used are obvious at all times.
